Understanding Turning Point Action
Life is short and none of us know how much time we have so I am going to share what I must say. I am sharing this not to tear the organization down, but in the hope that it will force the leadership to finally prioritize the safety and well-being of the people who make their work possible
I worked for Turning Point Action when Charlie died. I was doing door-to-door canvassing for them full-time. I had more escalating threats to myself and my kids from a leftist agitator group after Charlie was shot. I asked for some time off until the threats calmed down. The managers there, Cynthia and Lacey, said no. They said they might consider changing my work email, but they would not let me take time off. They really could not care less what happened to their employees or their families. My direct supervisor (Dave) would not even take my phone calls and didn't want to hear from me over this serious issue. They basically told a mother of four to go screw herself before the holidays last year. From all of the threats and attacks that I have recieved I already live in hell but I felt like these people were monsters too.
It is very sad, but they just view their employees as people they could step on or like gum on the bottom of their shoe. These managers are people close to Erika Kirk. These are people that you see in photos with her. They acted like they would not have peed on me if I were on fire.
I agree with Turning Point (TP) over politics, and I think Charlie Kirk was anointed by God for a purpose, but I do not align with Turning Point in a moral or ethical sense. I hesitate to say anything because I want justice for his family, but I believe the company is reckless and they are going to get more people killed.
I hope Erika corrects course because I know these issues began long before she took over.
You can see there is a serious company culture problem when employees are falling all over themselves to record these hidden videos in mass to expose the leadership.
I want to reiterate that these issues with company safety at Turning Point are not new for Turning Point. When I worked with the organization in 2024 I privately let my manager know that they were sending their young female employees to the homes of registered sex offenders. The manager agreed that we should not go to those homes anymore after I uncovered this but she did not warn any or of the other employees or volunteers of this issue. Removing registered sex offenders off of the list would have been a relatively easy task. I was disappointed when I worked for the company once again and I noticed that they kept all of the registered sex offender's homes on their downloadable application.
I believe in having the courage to stand up for what you believe but that does not mean that you should be reckless with people's lives. These employees and volunteers are getting guidance from the Turning Point Organization and I know they can to a better job protecting their employees and volunteers. I shared about it vaguely on X because it was disturbing to me. I worked as a community organizer and I could not recruit volunteers with a clear conscience knowing they will not be safe.
This isn't about attacking individuals; it’s about demanding a standard of safety and accountability that should be the baseline for any organization moving forward.
